OUR CLUB

We are a Private Members Health Club, with a view to fostering a community of friendly health orientated members. As a club, we aim to ensure that we are never too crowded, and never too busy to offer you some help. We simply offer quality!

New members are welcomed, "inducted" and guided by our fitness staff, so if you're unsure, we are here to guarantee your first experiences are good ones. We'll design you a programme and then give you as much attention as you need.

The Heart Of The Community

London Horizons was founded in 2004, as a social enterprise with the interests of the local community at heart. As a result of our investment in Durand Academy (formerly Durand Primary School), the school has been able to dramatically improve its facilities, employ more staff, reduce class sizes, offer subsidised organic dinners, give free swimming lessons and provide subsidised after school provisions, helping to deliver the best education to its intake.

Through Horizons' support, coupled with the tireless commitment from a team of exceptional teachers and leaders, Durand today delivers outstanding results? At 11 years old, 92% of children achieve the level of national expectation (Level 4) and 30-50% exceeds it by achieving Level 5.
We are delighted to have received recognition across South London this year for the work that we do to invest in the local area. In March 2011, we won the 'Commitment to the Community' category at the Lambeth Business Awards and this June, we won in the same category at the South London Business Awards.

In 2010, London Horizons' financial backing supported the school to refurbish and establish a dedicated 'Early Years' centre on their Mostyn Garden's site. The old school building was subject to a £3.4million refurbishment, providing state-of-the-art fittings and a new learner swimming pool. Most recently, Durand has purchased a site in West Sussex for its ground-breaking secondary boarding school project, which wouldn't have been possible without the extra revenue created by London Horizons. Thanks to London Horizons and the support provided by the Coalition Government, Durand Academy will be able to deliver its revolutionary vision: to set up the first completely non fee-paying secondary boarding school in the country, providing a life-changing education for hundreds of children from across South London.

The families of children at Durand Academy also benefit from the use of our astro turf football pitch and swimming pool at a reduced cost, providing a genuine community resource.
London Horizons has successfully combined pioneering business insight with a community-orientated goal to provide the most innovative social enterprise in South London, improving hundreds of people's lives every day.
